This text was discovered reused in a wall close to the ʿUmar Mosque. According to al-Muaikil and al-Theeb, it was still there in the early 1990s, when someone was able to examine it in situ. According to Romolo Loreto, Alessandro de Maigret saw the inscription in 2008 during a visit he made site but in 2009 it had disappeared.
The stone measures 64 cm long and is 14 cm high. The text is carved inside a frame with dovetails.

This is the tomb which Šlytw son of Šltw son of Mny son of Šltw son of Mny son of ----n son of Mny built for himself and for his sons ---- his descendants after him for ever and ever. In the month of Sīwan, the year thirty-five of Ḥrttt, king of the Nabataeans, lover of his people ---- Ah, peace! ----
Two different readings of this text are available:
1. Those of ARNANab and HNTI, which are identical.
2. Those of MAKNJ and RAMAS, which are identical but different from the first.
In the absence of detailed photographs or direct examination of the stone, it is difficult to correct the reading. The best is therefore probably to keep the reading of the editio princeps until the stone is examined again. However, those words which were differently are considered here as uncertain and therefore put between { }.
